About myself:
Born in 1963, in Vienna.
I spent the first three years of my life in Wien Leopoldstadt, and then I moved with my parents to my grandparents’ house in Rannersdorf.
I attended the Rannersdorf kindergarten from 1966 to 1970.
I attended primary school in Rannersdorf, from 1970 to 1974.
I attended AHS in Schwechat, between 1974 – 1979.
I underwent vocational training for three years as a field policeman at the Vienna Police School.
I passed my A-levels under the form of a clerk advancement exam (Matura B), and few years later I passed my equalization exam for the continuation of my studies at the Faculty of Legal Sciences within the Vienna University.
Professional activity:
1982 to 1988: patrol policeman in the Rudolfsheim-Fünfhaus and Favoriten regions.
1988 to 1991: Kranich Department of interventions. Starting 1989, commander of security.
1992 to 1994: Vocational training as security public servant (police officer) at the Mödling Security Academy (presently Traiskirchen).
I subsequently activated for 1 year within the Federal Police Department, Vienna, at the Police School as course leader and at the Favoriten Police Station.
Starting from 1995 I had a leading function within the Schwechat Police Department, and the Kranich Security Department at the airport.
Private life:
Married since 1985, 3 daughters
I live in Rannersdorf since leaving my parents’ house in 1983. In 1998 I moved together with my family back into my parents’ house.
My wife Susanne resides and lives in Schwechat since 1967. Professionally she is manager within the Federal Ministry for Traffic, Innovation and Technics.
Member of SPÖ since 1983. Starting with the same year, I became member of the „Executives’ Club“, representing the social-democratic authorities in the field of security.
Political work in Schwechat began in 1995. In 1996, I became member of the managing board of SPÖ Rannersdorf.
Since December 2001 I am president of the Schwechat SPÖ communal organization and member of the party’s regional presidium.
Hobbies:
Family, gardening, jogging, skiing, reading, theatre, social come-togethers.
